Minister of Home Affairs, the Honourable Robeson Benn, M.P and Permanent Secretary Ms. Mae Toussaint Jr. Thomas., received a courtesy visit this afternoon from Ms. Kayon Cox, Registrar General in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Transportation, Broadcasting, Energy and Utilities and Telecommunications Commission for the Island of Turks and Caicos.
As part of her official visit to Guyana to engage with our General Register Office, Ms. Cox and team had an engaging discourse with Minister Benn and Ms. Thomas. Ms. Cox also presented Minister Benn and Ms. Thomas with unique tokens from their Island.
Cox, along with Mr. Brandon Willams, Senior Systems Administrator, and Mr. Andre Mills, Director of Digitization and E-Governance, are currently on a one-week visit to Guyana. They will engage with our Registrar General, Mr. Raymon Cummings and team at the General Register Office (GRO) to learn more about our registration process for births, deaths and marriages.
