Registration of overseas born nationals

Children born to Guyanese parents overseas are being asked to provide the following when applying for a Guyanese Birth Certificate:

  • Full Name of Applicant
  • Date of Birth
  • Place of Birth
  • Country of Birth
  • Mother and/or Father’s Name
  • Both original and photocopied documents – Parents ID Card or Passport
  • Both original and photocopied documents – Applicants ID Card or Passport
  • Both original and photocopied documents – Certificate of Birth in Foreign Country 
  • Certified Translation of Birth Certificate if Applicable
  • Both original and photocopied documents – Certificate of Birth for Guyanese Parent/s (copy attached
